With the date now set for November 17, 2025, my JNCIE-DC journey feels a little like gearing up for an Indiana Jones quest – only instead of ancient ruins, I’ll be navigating data center fabrics, EVPNs, and automation challenges.

The JNCIE-DC blueprint is both exciting and intimidating. Some of the key focus areas include:
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 Fabrics – Building resilient and scalable underlays and overlays.
- EVPN/VXLAN – Mastering modern data center interconnects.
- Routing Protocols – Ensuring efficient traffic flow across fabrics.
- Data Center Interconnect (DCI) – Stitching environments together seamlessly.
- Security & Infrastructure Services – Protecting and supporting the fabric.
- Automation & Troubleshooting – Leveraging tools, scripts, and systematic approaches to solve complex problems quickly.
What makes the JNCIE journey special is that it’s not just about memorizing concepts – it’s about developing the ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot a complete solution under pressure, in a hands-on lab environment.
My path so far has included the JNCIP-DC, lots of study, labs, and real-world projects that have tested these concepts in practice. The next step will be building endurance in lab scenarios, identifying gaps in my understanding, and fine-tuning efficiency.
Like Indy swapping the golden idol, this exam feels like a daring move – one that requires preparation, skill, and a steady hand. Here’s hoping I walk out with the prize and not a boulder chasing me down!
